Introduction

MyKasih is the implementing agency for the monthly cash assistance run by the government in this program Mercy Foundation (SARA) Contributionspecifically to the recipient STR (Mercy Cash Contribution) that meets the requirements.

The way to use SARA/MyKasih is through the system without cashmeaning that money no cash giveninstead scanned with MyKad (Identity Card) when buying necessities.

SARA money cannot be withdrawn in cash, only to buy basic necessities.

Only approved items (basic categories) can be purchased. If you purchase items that are not included (e.g. electrical goods, snacks, cigarettes), the transaction will be rejected.

MyKasih Email – OTP Email

Starting January 1 2026, the MyKasih application login verification method will switch from SMS OTP to Email OTP.

This means that the OTP will not be sent to the cellphone number but will be sent to e-mail that you registered.

Therefore, please register your email address first in the MyKasih application December 31, 2025 to enjoy uninterrupted access.

The aim is to:

• Security: A verification code (OTP) will be sent to your email for login purposes.
• Balance Check: You can check your assistance balance and transaction history in real-time.
• Update: Facilitates direct communication when there are new announcements regarding assistance.

How to Update MyKasih Application Email

1. Enter the MyKasih application.
2. Click “Set Up Now” on the pop-up display that appears on your phone screen.
3. Enter the email you want to register with. Make sure the email is active.
4. Click, “Next”.
5. Check your email for email confirmation.
6. Click “Verify Email Address”.
7. Finished.

VITAL RECORDS:

• First login: You will still receive SMS OTP on mobile.
• Second login and so on: OTP is unique will only be sent to verified email addressevery time you log in.

Validity Period & How to Use MyKasih Email OTP

• The OTP email is valid for 30 minutes from the time it is sent to your email.
• To log in, open the registered email, take the OTP code, and enter it in the OTP column in the MyKasih application before the validity period expires.

If you don’t receive the OTP Email:

• Check the Spam/Junk folder in your email account as OTP emails are sometimes filtered there.
• Use the “Resend OTP” function in the app; If you still haven’t received it, contact MyKasih Customer Service at 03-7720 1800 (Monday-Friday, 08.30 – 17.30).

If you cannot update yourself or are confused about which email to use, contact MyKasih Customer Service at 03-7720 1800 for further assistance.

MyKasih Eligibility Check

Recipient STR 2025 which has been confirmed from Data on Poor Tough and Poor eKasih eligible for SARA 2025 of RM100 / RM50 per month for 12 month period (January 2025 – December 2025).

Whereas additional rates to all 2025 STR recipients Household and Elderly Categories Without Spouse is RM100 / RM50 per month for the period 9 months (April 2025 – December 2025).

2025 SARA recipients will receive cashless basic food assistance (cashless) automatically via an account opened using the recipient’s MyKad.

There are 14 categories of basic necessities that can be purchased with the help of MyKasih/Kasih Asas Rahmah (SARA) which is distributed through the MyKad of aid recipients, including foodstuffs such as rice, bread, cooking oil, instant noodles, drinks, biscuits, as well as personal and hygiene items such as medicine, soap and shampoo.
