About Bank Muamalat Special Flood Assistance

This Special Flood Assistance is an initiative of Bank Muamalat to provide facilities to its customers affected by the flood disaster.

This assistance includes a moratorium on all individual and business financing for up to six months as well as free replacement of debit and credit cards.

Through this assistance, it is a proactive step to ensure the simplification of the documentation and application approval process for those involved in the flood.

Moratorium Payment Period (MPP)

The Payment Moratorium Period (MPP) is a temporary postponement of financing payment obligations for a limited period of time.

During this period, customers who have financing and meet the terms and conditions do not need to make any installment payments.

For this assistance, MPP offers a term of up to six (6) months for all financing facilities to Bank Muamalat customers, both individuals living in flood-affected areas and businesses located in these areas.

As a result, the funding balance will shrink more slowly than originally scheduled and may cause the following:

• Increase the total amount of payments and the total amount of financing costs. However, the total financing costs do not exceed the selling price; and/or
• The remaining payment is accumulated in the last installment of financing which must be paid at once; and/or
• The amount of accrued profits and late payment fees (if any) for the initial financing will be due in the future and these amounts will not be taken into account in the calculation of new profits; and/or
• The next payment will be used to pay off the remaining profits that still need to be paid in advance. After that, the distribution of profits and principal monthly payments will return to normal after the amount of profits that still need to be paid is completed.

How to Apply for Special Flood Assistance

To apply for this special flood assistance, please follow these steps:

1. Download the “Service Request Form (SRF)” at the link
2. Fill in the required information completely.
3. Prepare the necessary documents such as:
   – Photos related to flooding such as houses, vehicles and so on;
   – Confirmation from local authorities;
   – Other documents (if any).
4. Send the form and related supporting documents via email to the address [email protected] no later than sixty (60) days from the occurrence of the flood event.

Application Results

To make a decision on this assistance request, the bank will contact successful customers either via notification letter or SMS.
