Do you know what the Elementary School Religious Assessment Test is? This is an exam conducted on grade 6 students of Religious Elementary Schools and KAFA in the state of Selangor in accordance with the terms and conditions.

The following is the implementation date for the 2025 Basic Religious School Assessment (PSRA) for Religious Primary Schools/Integrated Religious Schools (SRAI)/Integrated KAFA and Private/Private Ibtidaiyah Madrasas in Selangor State.

Introduction to the Primary School Religious Assessment Test (PSRA)

PSRA is an exam carried out at Religious Primary Schools, Integrated Religious Primary Schools and Al-Quran and Fardhu Ain Integration Classes (KAFA) throughout Selangor, which is a certified exam issued by the Islamic Education Division of the Selangor Islamic Religious Department (JAIS).

The PSRA test is very different from the Kafa Class Assessment Test or UPKK for short.

UPKK is a certified exam issued by the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM). Conducted on all grade 5 students at KAFA schools throughout Malaysia.

Scope of PSRA

The scope of the PSRA syllabus starts from class 4 to class 6 only.

The areas assessed are:

1. Al Quran and Hafazan
2. Moral/Head
3. Tajweed
4. Tawhid / Jurisprudence
5. Arabic
6. Jawi, Imlak, Khat

In terms of assessment in each subject, marks will be given based on the following ranking:

1. Mumtaz (Amazing)
2. Jayyid Jiddan (Very good)
3. Jayyid (Good)
4. Maqbul (Passed)
5. Musaadah (Need Guidance)

Religious Primary School Assessment Exam Date (PSRA 2025)

The 2025 PSRA Exam for Recitation and Memorization (UTH) and Imitation Assessment starts at:

JUNE 10 to JULY 11, 2025

While the Written Exam starts at:

October 6 to 10, 2025

Importance of PSRA

Students who pass with special distinction (Mumtaz) in this test have the opportunity to continue their studies at:

1. Selangor State Tahfiz Integration Association (MITS)
2. Selangor State Secondary Religious High School (SABK).

Good UPKK and PSRA results will help students get a better chance of getting a place in a Form 1 religious secondary school in the state of Selangor.
