Known Antivax, Menkes as fired all CDC vaccine expert panels!

The Minister of Health and Humanitarian Services of the United States, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., took dramatic steps by removing all 17 permanent members of the Advisory Committee for Immunization Practices (ACIP) Center for Control and Disease Prevention (CDC). This step was taken as an effort to restore public confidence in the vaccination program amid the increase in skepticism of vaccines.

Kennedy, known for his controversial view of vaccines, stated that “Today we prioritize the restoration of public trust on a certain pro or antivacid agenda.” In his statement quoted from ABC News, he stressed the importance of making a thorough cleaning to rebuild trust in the community regarding vaccination.

The ACIP Committee has an important role in recommending security, efficacy, and clinical needs of vaccines. Previously, all ACIP members who were in office were appointed by the Biden government, with 13 appointments that occurred in 2024. With this removal, Kennedy implied that the shift in power in ACIP would accelerate the process of change needed before the election of the majority of members by the Trump government in 2028.

The focus of the change of members is to ensure that this committee no longer functions as a “rubber stamp for the industrial agenda that is looking for profit.” Kennedy stressed that his new members would prioritize public health and evidence -based treatment. He added that ACIP never recommended a vaccine which was then withdrawn because of security problems.

The next ACIP meeting is scheduled to take place on June 25-27, and Kennedy promised to appoint a new member in “The next few days.” He underlined that new members will consist of “very quality doctors and scientists” and will not be related to anti-vaccine ideologies.

As a figure who has long been involved in anti-vaccine activism, Kennedy faced broad criticism related to his intervention in public health policies. He is also the founder of a non-profit institution which is the center of the largest anti-vaccine movement in the country. His view that often triggers controversy, does not fail to make him a figure discussed in the midst of uncertainty of vaccination that is increasing in the community.

In this regard, criticism of Kennedy’s actions continues to stick out, especially from among scientists and health professionals. They warned that the steps he took could make the situation worse and increase public distrust of the vaccine.
