Especially for astronomy fans! The full moon eclipse will take place in Malaysia from September 7, 2025 until morning September 8, 2025, where the maximum full phase is expected to occur at hours 2.11 morning. This eclipse is also known as Blood Moon.

Introduction to Eclipse Moon’s Returns in Malaysia 7-8 September 2025
Full lunar eclipse phenomenon on 7 – 8 September 2025 It took 2.7 days before the month close to the earth (perigee) at a distance of 364,773 km with a size of 33.4 minutes of bow.
The lunar eclipse occurs when the earth is in a position between the sun and the moon that causes the shadows of the earth to cover the moon. The moon will look red / orange during the peak of the eclipse full of moon due to sunlight near the sunrise of the earth. For that reason, this eclipse is also known as Blood Moon.
This phenomenon will be witnessed by people throughout Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

In Malaysia, the moon is in the horizon throughout the eclipse. Therefore, in good weather conditions, all eclipses can be seen using the eyes and helping like binoculars or telescopes.


Eclipse Phase Purnama Month 7-8 September 2025 in Malaysia, Date & Time
The Purnama lunar eclipse phenomenon will be witnessed on 7-8 September 2025, starting at 11.28 pm to 4.55 in the morning of Malaysia time.
The eclipse phase -full month is expected to occur as follows / time as follows:
- Phase Penumbra Phase Begins: 11.28pm, September 7 – Penumbra phase begins (P1). The moon began to enter the shadow of the penumbra.
- The partial phase of the partial phase begins: 12.26 in the morning, September 8 – the month began to enter the shadow of Umbra, eclipse began to emerge.
- The full phase of the phase begins: 1.30 am, September 8 – the moon is now entirely in the shadow of the earth.
- 🌕✨ Maximum full phase : 2.11 morning, September 8 – Eclipse spotlight, the moon looks darkest and red!
- 🌕 Full phase ends: 2.53 in the morning, September 8 – Moon began to leave Umbra’s shadow.
- Phase Partial Phase: 3.56 in the morning, September 8 – this month really runs out of umbra.
- 🌑 Phasa Penumbra Tamat: 4:55 in the morning, September 8 – Moon returned to normal.
