What is the SOCSO Ilat Pension amount if the Salary is RM2,500 a month?
Based on a salary of RM2,500 per month, total Tongue Retirement what you can accept is between RM1,250 to RM1,625 per month according to SOCSO regulations (SOCSO).
The actual amount depends on how long you have been contributing with the following formula:
1. Initial Rate (50%)
If you meet full eligibility period (contributing a minimum of 24 months in the 40 months prior to the notification date), you are entitled to 50% of the average salary.
- Calculation: 50% x RM2,500 = RM1,250 a month.
2. Additional Rates (Up To 65%)
For every additional 12 months of contributions you pay after the first 24 months, the pension rate will increase by 1%. The maximum figure that can be achieved is 65%.
- If worth 65%: 65% x RM2,500 = RM1,625 a month.
3. Other Important Provisions
- Assumed Average Salary: This calculation uses “estimated average monthly salary” based on SOCSO contribution tables, not just net salary.
- Minimum Pension: Even if a person’s salary is very low, SOCSO guarantees a minimum payment of RM550 a month.
- 24 Hour Protection: Starting June 2026, PERKESO expands coverage through the Non-catastrophic Work Accident Scheme (SKBBK) which covers injuries outside working hours.
NOTE: This calculation is just an example of a basic calculation. Please refer to the SOCSO website for actual values.
Tongue Retirement Misconceptions
- Many people still misunderstand the implementation of Tongue Retirement under Law 4 of SOCSO. Some people think that if they feel tired, have knee pain, or are stressed because of work, they can just ask for sick leave. In reality, it’s not that simple.
- Tongue retirement is given to suffering individuals permanent disability, serious incurable diseaseor permanent loss of at least ⅓ of working capacity.
- It is important to understand the results of applying Ilat not determined by SOCSObut rather by a panel of certified specialist doctors appointed by the Malaysian Ministry of Health (KKM). No compromises, no wires, no arbitrary decisions.
- Examples of individuals who are eligible to apply for sick leave are chronic kidney patients who undergo dialysis three times a week, or those who have a permanent physical disability that prevents them from working normally.
- If it’s just a swollen knee after futsal but you’re still agile enough to run to the store or make TikTok content — that doesn’t qualify. It may be more appropriate to apply for sick leave instead of disability pension.
- SOCSO is committed to helping those who truly need long-term social protection. However, good understanding needs to exist, so that this system is not misused and remains relevant for everyone.

PakarPBN
A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
