Who is Zizie Ezette?

Zizie Ezette or full name Datin Seri Zizie Izette Abdul Samad (often spelled Zizie A. Samad) is a former actress and has been involved as a producer/director in several local television dramas.

He became famous through Malay dramas and films since the 1990s before slowly withdrawing from the world of acting to focus on his family.

He began to enter the world of acting from a young age. Throughout her career, she has won several acting awards which have made her name as one of the most talented actresses of her generation.

Zizie Ezette’s career started at a young age when she was active in the local film and drama industry since 1993. This made her one of the most recognized actresses in the 90s and early 2000s.

His first film, “The Beginning and the End Lover” (1993), launched his name as a new actor, and he then starred in various popular films and dramas such as “Sama Tak Samerupa” (1995), “Cili Padi” (1994–1998), “Cinderella” (1998), “Emil Emilda” (2007), “Sari Maya” (2008), and “Heroes of a Cinderella” (2017).​​

Apart from acting, Zizie Ezette is also involved as a producer and director of several dramas including “Love Story” (2013) and “Sehalf my Soul” (2014).

He stopped being active in the world of acting around 2017, but his name is still known as an actor who once lifted the Malay drama industry.​​

Zizie Ezette’s personal and family life is always filled with happiness and love. She is known as a loyal wife to her husband, the late Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin and a loving mother to her children, including her biological and adopted children.​​

They are blessed with a pair of twin boys, Adam Zac Izette and Aaleph Zeke Izette, as well as their daughter, Aalisa Belle Izette, and two adopted children, Naila Nurjenna and Aaric Zayn Izette.

He also has a very close relationship with his siblings, especially Shaheizy Sam, who often supports and shares family moments on social media.

Bung Moktar Dies

Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin, Zizie Ezette’s husband died on December 5 2025 at Gleneagles Hospital Kota Kinabalu at the age of 66 years. His departure was confirmed by his son, Naim Kurniawan Moktar, via a post on Facebook.

Bung Mokhtar breathed his last breath at 01.46 WIB due to kidney failure and severe lung infection.​​

Bung Moktar is a prominent political figure in Sabah, having held various important positions such as Member of Parliament for Kinabatangan, Deputy Chief Minister I of Sabah, and Chairman of the Sabah National Front.

He was known as an influential and outspoken leader throughout his career. His passing touched the hearts of many people, political leaders and families, and received condolences from various parties.​​

• Zizie Ezette is the daughter of famous actress Khaty Fauziah and sister of actor Shaheizy Sam.

• His last drama as an actor was “Hero A Cinderella” in 2017, where he played the antagonist named Puan Sri Mawar, the stepmother of the main character Nur Fazura. Her evil character was so effective that her own husband teased her by saying, “Don’t be so evil!”
