Application for JAKIM-IIUM Tahfiz Certification Program 2026/2027

For SPM graduates who wish to continue their studies at Bachelor’s level but at the same time aspire to memorize the Al-Quran or Tahfiz, they are welcome to register for the JAKIM-IIUM Tahfiz Certification Program for the 2026/2027 session.

For those who don’t know, this kind of study program is also offered with other study institutions such as the JAKIM-UNITEN Al-Quran Tahfiz Certification Program, JAKIM-IPGKPI, JAKIM-UoC and the JAKIM-PSAS Basic Tahfiz Certificate Program.

Get to know the JAKIM-IIUM Tahfiz Certification Program

This program is a unique study program in Malaysia.

Selected students are required to memorize 30 juzu’ of the Qur’an within a period of 3 semesters (18 months) or a year in addition to studying other subjects such as Tajwid ‘Ilmi, Tajwid ‘Amali, Adab Hamalah al-Qur’an, ‘Aqidah, Fiqh Al-‘Ibadah, Arabic and English.

Students will study at the Darul Quran JAKIM Main Campus, Kuala Kubu Bharu, Hulu Selangor, Selangor.

After completing the tahfiz al-Qur’an certification program, students will return to the IIUM Gambang Foundation Campus to continue their studies at Foundation level.

Application Date

The closing date for applications is before or on January 1, 2026 while the Darul Quran JAKIM registration/reception date is active February 9, 2026.

Study Period

The study period for this program is 16 months (February 2026 to May 2027).

SPM graduates who meet the requirements below are invited to apply to take part in the JAKIM Tahfiz Certification Program:

• Malaysian citizen
• Only Malays, Peninsular Natives, Sabah Natives and Sarawak Natives.
• Not married
• Passed SPM 2025 Trial Exam ONLY by getting:

I. Minimal B grade for anyone (1) subjects in the following groups;

Al-Quran and Al-Sunnah Education / Islamic Sharia Education / Islamic Education / Ushul al-Din / Turath al-Quran and al-Sunnah / Al-Syariah / Manahij al-‘Ulum al-Islamiah / Turath Dirasat Islamiah / Maharat al-Quran / Hifz al-Quran

ii. Low Mark B for the following subjects;

• Malay language
• Mathematics
• English Language / English Literature

I, I, I. Minimal Class C for all the following subjects;

• History
• Arabic / Al-Adab wa al-Balaghah / Al-Lughah al- Arabiah al-Mu’asirah / Arab Turath

v. Pass the prescribed interviews and tests

I. Applicants must select IIUM as their Primary Choice UPU Online (as an Eligibility Prerequisite).

How to apply

SPM 2025 Candidate Application is ready to use SPM 2025 trial or Form 5 Exam Results (2025 only) and must get it confirmation stamp from school.

Applications can be made online (on line) and must be filled in completely until it runs out https://mydq.islam.gov.my/login_pemohon (only during the advertising period) and the form must be printed and brought with you when attending the interview session.

Results Overview

Date of review of eligible interview results and successful interview results January 26 to 28, 2026 through https://mydq.islam.gov.my/login_pemohon in the ‘REVIEW’ menu.

Candidates are considered unsuccessful if they do not receive any response thereafter February 9, 2026.
