What is a Government Pension Card?
The Pensioner Card is an identification document issued by the Post-Service Department, JPA and KWAP to retirees and pension recipients.
This card can be used by retirees, spouses and children under 26 years of age or disabled children (no age limit.
According to the MyGovernment explanation, retired civil servants in Malaysia refer to individuals who have served in the public service sector and retired from their position either due to force, choice, or for other reasons approved by the government.
The retirement age limit for public service officers is 60 years.
The Government Pension Card is automatically processed by the Post-Service Division, Department of Public Services (JPA) as soon as your pension documentation is approved.
Who Can Get a Retirement Card?

- Compulsory Retirement: Civil servant members who retire after reaching the retirement age limit.
- Optional Retirement: Members who apply for early retirement with government approval (after fulfilling the minimum length of service).

- Pension Scheme Pensioners: Civil servants who choose the pension scheme and are entitled to receive a monthly pension.
