What is an appeal upuonline?
Upuonline is the second opportunity given to applicants who fail to get an offer or receive a certificate level offer only through the Upuonline application.
The appeal system was created by the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education to ensure that every student has the opportunity to pursue higher education in accordance with the feasibility and vacancies of existing places.
For STPM/Equivalent candidates who cannot get an offer for academic session 2025/2026, you can send a start of the appeal September 5, 2025 (12.00 noon) until September 14, 2025 (17.00).
Who qualified the requirements to appeal to Upu?
- The appeal is only open to the right applicant – No Get any offer. If you have received an offer and reject it, you do not meet the requirements to appeal through the E-Raying Upu system
- SPM or STPM/equivalent graduates who do not accept any offer to UA/Polytechnic after official decisions are announced.
- Applicants who only get a certificate level offer and want to try their luck for a higher program.
Candidates who were unsuccessful during the prime minister can submit an appeal at Upuonline® by making 4 Options Only study programs.
Option 1-2 is a study program and/or test. The appeal application is only open in the period 10 days only from 5-14 September 2025.
STPM important date/inspection
The following is an important date for STPM/Equivalent Upu Appeal Application 2025:
- The duration of the appeal application is 10 days starting September 5, 2025 (12.00 noon) until September 14, 2025 (17.00)
- A review of the results of phase 1 appeal is expected to be announced around the first week of October 2025, but the official date will be updated later by UPU.
- Appeals can only be made by applicants who do not accept any study program offer through the original application.
- Applicants can appeal online through the official UPU site (by entering the identity card number and information needed during that period.

Review of the Review of the UPU STPM/Eqivalent.
Date of appeal up to STPM/Eqivalent for the academic session of 2025/2026 is expected to be announced on October 4, 2025 (Friday) from 12 noon to 12 October 2025 (Saturday) at 17:00 for the first phase. The date for the second phase of the appeal decision will still be updated later.
Applicants can review the results of online appeals through the official upu portal during that period. This decision review is only open to applicants who are appealing because they do not receive offers in the first application.

Questions that are often asked – STPM/Appeal Upuonline Ekual 2025/2026
Upuonline appeal for STPM/graduates who are equivalent to open from 5 September 2025 (Friday) from 12 noon to 14 September 2025 (Sunday) at 17:00.
Only candidates failed to get an offer to UA, Polytechnic, Community College and Ilka or applicants who were only offered a study certificate program, could appeal during the opening period.
Official offer letters issued by UA start a daily decision (1). Candidates need to download official bid letters on the UA website according to schedule.
Candidates are allowed to make 4 study program selections, with interview/testing programs only in options 1 and 2. Only programs that still have vacancies and conditions that meet the requirements will appear for elections.
Only candidates failed to get offers to UA, Polytechnic, KK and Mara BPT
or candidates who get offers for certificate study programs at Community College
can appeal within ten (10) days after the decision
Revenue application is announced.
Candidates who get offers, reject offers or not make
Confirmation agreed to receive an offer in nine (9) days afterwards
Prime Minister’s Decree, will not be considered for the appeal process
Based on the FAQ announced the appeal decision for STPM graduates was the first week of October 2025. 
The following are some of the factors that cause the Upu application cannot get the selected / failed program:
Candidates need to confirm the offer within 9 days after the appeal results are announced. Failure to make confirmation is calculated as a rejection of the offer.
