Malaysians who have failed to update a competent SIM (CDL) for more than three years do not meet the requirements to receive RON95 gasoline subsidies automatically under the RON95 Madani Madani program (Buda95).
Minister of Transportation Anthony Loke Siew Fook said that based on the record of the Road Transportation Department (JPJ), a total of 925,421 people who had expired licensed did not exceed three years, with 154,641 of them for almost three years.
“I want to tell 925,000 people even though the license is still active but not updated to immediately renew their license, especially for almost three years.
“There are more than 154,000 people who have not been updated for almost three years, they do not meet the requirements for RON95 subsidies automatically because when the license is invalid, it will be automatically blocked through the Ministry of Finance (MOF) system,” he said.

He said this to reporters at a press conference at the Ministry of Transportation here today.
The license recipient is called to immediately update the SIM to avoid being asked to repeat the driver’s education curriculum test section 2 and 3 (KPP02 and KPP03).
Based on the latest JPJ notes, a total of 2.4 million CDL holders are in an inactive status, which has expired for more than three years.
Since the announcement of Ron95 Buni on September 22, JPJ has recorded 26,991 SIM update transactions through various transactions such as MyJPJ, MYSAPAP, Kiosk, Kiosk or JPJ count throughout the country.
