Rembayung, is Khairul Aming’s first restaurant which will open in January 2026. After successfully dominating the digital market with Sambal Nyet, this famous entrepreneur is now entering the world of physical business (offline) with an investment of RM4 Million!

The restaurant, which will become a modern Malay culinary landmark in Kuala Lumpur, is planned to open in Kampung Baru, approximately 9 minutes from KLCC.

Introduction

Before entering the restaurant world with Rembayung, Khairul Aming or full name Khairul Amin bin Kamarulzaman had built a strong legacy of success in Malaysia.

He also graduated with a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Vanderbilt University, United States.

Khairul Aming is known as a digital content creator (influencer) through simple cooking videos and food tutorials.

His famous series, “30 Days, 30 Recipes”, which is broadcast every Ramadan, has succeeded in attracting millions of views and followers on various social media platforms.

This digital success was realized in the physical business with the launch of its first product, Sambal Nyet Berapi.

This product created a sales phenomenon, often selling out in minutes with profits reaching millions of ringgit a year.

Rembayung Restaurant is one of Khairul Aming’s newest projects after 10 years in cyberspace.

Rembayung Takes Capital of RM4 Million

This investment of RM4 million is not just building a restaurant, but is Khairul Aming’s largest single investment in his career.

Rembayung not only generates income, but also provides employment opportunities for around 50 local children, thereby contributing to the community’s economy.

KA stated that this restaurant was the beginning of planning for the next 10 years. This shows its long-term focus on building a bigger and more impactful food brand.

The launch of this project after a year of secrecy was considered a ‘masterclass’ in business strategy, thereby building high expectations before its launch.

The restaurant is built on 8,000 square feet of land. With a seating capacity of 250 customers, Rembayung Kampung Baru is expected to become a new gastronomic hub in KL.

Rembayung Restaurant Concept

Khairul Aming chose a rustic food concept for his first restaurant. This concept ensures that the roots of Malay cuisine are maintained.

The dishes served are expected to be authentic and original dishes that remind us of our mother’s hands in the village.

This concept is not just about food, but about identity. By operating in Kampung Baru, Rembayung functions as a ‘bridge’ that provides urban luxury with a rural atmosphere, while preserving the unique Malay culture in Kuala Lumpur.
