This week, it’s mixed government announcements and incentives which was announced specifically for Malaysians, including Baitulmal Sabah Assistance, GCR Award, Tunku Abdul Rahman Scholarship (BTAR), Yang diPertuan Agong Scholarship (BYDPA), MySalam and many more. For information, registration for Class 1 students has been opened online for the 2027 session. Different from before, for the first time it is open to children aged 5 years and 6 years.

Year 1 registration can be done via the IDMe portal of the Malaysian Ministry of Education (MOEIS)

How to register:

1. Click the link above.
2. Log in or register a new account (if you don’t have one yet).
3. Go to the Public Management menu→ Year 1 Registration to fill out the form.

Registration for Year 1 of the 2027 Academic Session opens online starting at 08.00 WIB February 15 to March 31, 2026.

Don’t forget the 2027 PAUD session registration date!

Online applications will be open from March 1, 2026 on the official website

Open to children born in 2021 & 2022 (aged 5–6 years).

While waiting for the opening date, you can prepare standby documents such as:

• Copy of birth certificate
• Parent IC
• Related documents

TUNKU ABDUL RAHMAN SCHOLARSHIP 2026 NOW OPEN!

Tunku Abdul Rahman Foundation offers comprehensive scholarships and leadership development programs for high-potential youth dedicated to shaping Malaysia’s better future.

What will you receive?

• Full financial support (9 types of benefits).
• 2 year leadership development program.

Who is eligible to apply?

• Pre-University students who will start their degree no later than March 2027.
• Undergraduate students with a minimum of 2 years of study remaining.
• Open to all MQA accredited study programs at local public or private universities.
• Note: There is no minimum CGPA or age limit to apply.

JPA is pleased to invite Malaysians who have excelled in academic and non-academic fields to apply for the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Scholarship (BYDPA) for 2026.

BYDPA, also known as the King’s Scholarship, is the most prestigious scholarship under the PSD and one of the Government’s highest sponsorships for producing world-class academic and professional leaders.

This scholarship is offered to students to pursue full-time Masters (Research) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) studies at local higher education institutions or world-leading universities in fields that have a major impact on the country, as follows:

• Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)
• Economy
• Law
• Islamic finance
• Artificial Intelligence (Artificial Intelligence)

Interested candidates can apply online through the official JPA portal until March 6, 2026.

The Sabah People’s Insurance Scheme is an insurance initiative introduced by the Sabah State Government to provide personal accident insurance coverage to the people of Sabah automatically, without the need to register individually.

This is personal accident insurance protection (Personal Accident Insurance) which provides compensation in the event of death due to an accident or permanent disability due to an accident.

This scheme is provided as part of the government’s efforts to maintain the welfare of the people of Sabah, especially the low-income group (B40).

Who is eligible?

• Sabah residents who have a MyKad/MyKid marked with the Sabah state code (eg 12, 47, 48, 49).
• Viable lifespan: from 30 days to 80 years.
• Coverage is automatic – no registration required.

Benefits & Benefits

• Compensation up to RM10,000 if death due to accident.
• A charitable death benefit of RM500 is also provided.
• If the disability is permanent due to an accident, the benefits may increase (e.g. up to RM20,000 depending on the type of injury under the group scheme).
