What is a Female Grab Driver?
Grab female driver refers to female Grab drivers who offer passenger delivery services via the Grab app. They carry out the same duties as regular Grab drivers, but now there is a new option that allows female passengers to only be matched with female drivers.
This step was taken to provide the sense of security, comfort and confidence is higher for female passengersespecially when traveling alone.
Apart from that, this also provides more opportunities for women to earn income flexibly through digital platforms.
Are Women-Only Rides (Beta) Grab?
Women Only Rides (Beta) is a new feature in the Grab app that makes it possible female passengers are matched exclusively with female Grab drivers.

How to Order Grab Services for Women?
For female passengers who want to use this service, here are the steps:
1. Enter the travel location
Open the Grab application and enter pickup location and destination as usual.
2. Choose Women-Only Rides
Under category Standardselect one of the options Women Only Rides (Beta).
3. Schedule a trip
Choose travel date and timethen press Schedule Standards to confirm the reservation.
Because the system needs to match passengers with Grab female driverreservations must be made in advance.
Female Passenger Verification Process
To ensure platform integrity and prevent misuse of this feature, Grab requires an identity verification process for female passengers.
Verification steps include:
- State gender on Grab profile
- Uploading MyKad or passport
- Take validation selfie
This information will be checked and compared with official records. The verification process usually takes up to three working days.
After approval, options Women Only Rides (Beta) will appear in the application.
