Teacher Recruitment 2026 (Education Services Officer Class DG9) will be open from March 2 to March 20, 2026 under Contract of Service (CoS) to meet the need for teachers in schools across the country. Education (MOE) will undertake this initiative to recruit 20,000 Class DG9 Education Services Officers as part of MOE’s initial preparations for the implementation of the Malaysian Education Plan (RPM) 2026-2035 and the voluntary entry of six-year-old students into Class 1 from next year.

Announcement of 2026 KPM Teacher Recruitment

INTERESTED IN BECOMING A TEACHER? MOE WILL RECRUIT 20,000 NEW TEACHERS TO MEET NATIONAL EDUCATION NEEDS

The Ministry of Education (KPM) will implement an initiative to recruit 20,000 new Class DG9 Education Service Officers under Contract of Service (CoS) to meet the needs of teachers in schools across the country.

This new teacher recruitment initiative is part of KLH’s initial preparations for the implementation of the Malaysian Education Plan (RPM) 2026-2035 and the voluntary entry of six-year-old students into Grade 1 from next year.

In order to ensure that teacher competency aspects are maintained, selected candidates must undergo specialist training at the Teacher Education Institute (IPG) of the Ministry of Education in various fields of specialization.

This initiative is a reflection of the MADANI Government’s ongoing commitment to improving the quality of national education for the benefit of Malaysian children.

Applications for Teacher Recruitment 2026 Open

Registration to become a KPM 2026 teacher is open from March 2 2026 to March 21 2026. The official announcement will be made earlier, namely February 23 2026.

For candidates selected at the initial stage, the interview screening process will take place from April 27 2026 to May 14 2026.

This new teacher recruitment process is in full collaboration with the Education Services Commission (SPP).

If you are interested, make sure you apply within the specified time period and can start preparing now by registering and completing a MySPP account.

KLH plans to recruit around 20,000 new teachers.

Eligibility Conditions

The complete eligibility requirements for the recruitment of 20,000 teachers for Directorate General 9 KPM 2026 have not been announced in detail because official recruitment will only open on February 23 2026.
