Strengthening the digitalization of Indonesian education, an incandescent success in facilitating the 408,000 student examination

In an effort to strengthen the digitalization of education in Indonesia, PT Telkom Indonesia through its superior product, Pijar, has succeeded in facilitating examinations for more than 408,000 students throughout the archipelago. Digitalization in the education system, especially in learning evaluation, is very important, especially in the midst of the challenges faced by conventional test methods. With the presence of PIRAWA Computer-Based Test (CBT), the implementation of the exam is now more efficient and measurable, overcoming various obstacles that are often found in the previous system.

Incandescent played a significant role in bridging the gap in access to education, especially for schools in remote areas. Previously, tests with the manual method often cause excessive use of paper and potential errors in correction. With the presence of CBT, schools in remote areas can now carry out examinations with more modern methods, accompanied by ease of access and use.

Director of IT and Digital Telkom, Faizal Rochmad Djoemadi, explained, “CBT Pijar opens a new era in implementing examinations at school. Now, teachers can schedule exams, compile and share questions, monitor implementation, to assess results. Everything is done digitally through an integrated system.” With this system, the process that previously took time and energy to be much faster and more efficient.

Statistics show the success of the use of incandescent CBT, with a total of more than 105,000 examination sessions held in 29 provinces. The province with the highest examination activity is West Java, which includes 113,886 students from 192 schools, followed by East Java and Central Java with 39,719 and 37,159 students each. This shows that digitalization has reached a variety of regions, not only in big cities, but also in remote areas.

There are also schools that are the most active users of CBT Pijar, including East Bintang 1 Private High School in North Sumatra and several schools in Bali and West Java. The high trust in this platform reflects positive acceptance from teachers and students. Features offered, such as paperless systems, automatic examination results, and the ability to be used in online or luring mode, become the main attraction.

Incandescent continues to be committed to increasing digital education transformation in Indonesia. One of the things that is highlighted is collaboration that exists between schools, teachers, and technology. This cooperation is expected to encourage education that is smarter, inclusive, and adaptive to the times. With the spirit of mutual cooperation, Pijar believes that we can encourage the realization of education that has good quality.

In the future, Pijar plans to continue to develop features and services that will meet the needs of the education world in the digital age. The availability of broader access is expected to accommodate more students without geographical restrictions, so as to create a more efficient and accurate learning and evaluation system.

Through continuous innovation and commitment to reduce the burden of teachers and improve student learning experiences, Tijar shows that digitalization of education is not just a trend, but a need that must be met to improve the quality of education in Indonesia. Along with the development of technology, the efforts made by incandescent are important steps towards a better and global competitive future for future education.
