Synopsis of Stars in the Shawwal Sky

Tells the story of the life journey of an orphan named Syawal (Adam Lee) who is often haunted by emptiness and longing for a father’s love.

Everything starts to change when a mysterious man named Latif (Azhar Sulaiman) appears at the orphanage where Syawal grew up, leaving some money without any explanation.

Syawal finally found out about the visit, which was supposed to be kept secret, which raised questions and prompted him to search for the truth behind the man’s identity.

Driven by curiosity and the belief that Latif might be his biological father, Syawal is determined to escape from the welfare home.

On his journey, he meets Jess (Scha Elinnea), a girl who becomes his loyal friend and source of strength in living a life full of wounds and secrets.

However, the search that he thought would bring him together with a father’s love ultimately brought Syawal to the dark side of life which challenged his belief in the true meaning of family. This highly anticipated meeting opened up more questions than answers.

Now, question after question haunts Syawal. What was Latif’s real purpose in appearing there? Why is his life tied to a world full of evil and deceit?

Could this meeting be the light that Syawal has been looking for or will it actually add to the suffering in his search for love and identity?
