SARA Award Assistance for All

The Prime Minister announced that the RM100 SARA award will be given to all Malaysians aged 18 years and above February 9, 2026. Status checking can be done via the official website or MyKasih on a date to be determined later.

This was announced in the presentation of the 2026 APBN and the date was set in the New Year Message by PMX on January 5 2026.

• SARA Appreciation Assistance is cash assistance provided via the recipient’s MyKad for purchasing basic necessities at selected stores nationwide.
• SARA credits can be used at more than 4,100 stores across the country — for example Giant, Mydin, HeroMarket and many other stores. “Pak Mat” grocery store is also there!
• There are 14 categories of items that can be purchased covering 90,000 items. That’s a lot. For example, rice, eggs, bread, cooking oil, pampers, panadol, stationery, bath soap and so on.
• Want to know what is ‘best’? Just show your MyKad to purchase items under SARA. It’s easy to say, ‘cashless’!
• This RM100 SARA ‘one-off’ award is given to individuals aged 18 years and above.

Amount of SARA Assistance for All

SARA Appreciation Assistance for All in 2026 is a special government initiative that allocates an amount RM100 one time only to Malaysian citizens.

This assistance is automatically given to all citizens aged 18 years and over regardless of income status, whether B40, M40 or T20.

Unspent SARA for All balances will be redistributed to ensure benefits for vulnerable groups.

SARA Award Payment Date for All

SARA Appreciation Assistance (One time) amounting to RM100 will be distributed to all eligible Malaysians starting from date February 9, 2026.

This step was taken by the government as an additional initiative to ease the burden on people’s preparations for the month of Ramadan and the upcoming holidays.

Therefore, the public is advised to check the activation status of this assistance through the official MyKasih portal to ensure the process of purchasing basic necessities runs smoothly.

Who Deserves Sara RM100 One-off?

SARA RM100 One-time assistance (also known as SARA Appreciation for All) is a special government initiative that is different from SARA’s monthly assistance for the poor.

In general, this assistance is well deserved by ALL Malaysian citizens who meet the following conditions:

• Malaysian Citizens: Have a valid MyKad.
• Age Limit: 18 years of age or older (born in 2008 or earlier).

If you are an STR (Mercy Cash Donation) recipient, you will still receive monthly SARA assistance (between RM50 to RM200 per month) AND will still be entitled to receive this one-time RM100 on 9 February.

You can check your eligibility status from 9 February 2026 and can continue to use credit provided at over 10,000 registered supermarkets and retail stores.
